I have just been notified that due to changes in the industry behind the scenes I will need to implement some changes to comply with restrictions imposed by the payment processor. This means at minimum that RestrainedElegance.com membership site is going to have to implement age verification, as we already do for the eStore. I will need to make some technical changes to other pages to facilitate this, and as a result the whole site is “running at risk” for the next few days as we do this.

I will keep the disturbance to a minimum but there’s always the chance that I’ll introduce bugs as we roll this out. So if there seems to be something wrong with the site over the next few days, please bear with me (and maybe come back in half an hour when I might have fixed it!) I’ll be rolling it out over the preview pages first as they were the most affected before, so hopefully impact on the members’ area will be limited.

It may have a knock-on effect to SilkSoles.com if I need to make changes to the shared codebase, but hopefully the impact there will be minimal as we did most of the necessary changes there already.

It may have a more serious impact on BrideOfDarkness.com as I don’t know if we’ll still be allowed to host this content. So if you are at all a fan of this content download it NOW. It might not be there next week 🙁 🙁 🙁 We cunningly shot everything so there’s a “core” part of each set that should be OK as a regular RE update but we may lose some of the more atmospheric setup shots and stuff with props. Likewise, the D&D themed stuff may be at risk. I don’t know yet what the new rules will be.
